Microbiology sterility testing
Most of the bacteria are bigger than 0.45 microns and it is difficult and takes time to filter the sample through 0.2 micron filters.

IF Bacteria is bigger than 0 .45 micron, so why we use 0.2 micron filter for filteration of 70% IPA?
Because, Sterility test is a recovery test i.e. we used to capture the bacteria through sterility test. Moreover retention of bacteria is done during filtration done before filling of sterile product.
Sterility testing is a procedure to check the sterlity of product ( viable bioload),where we have to retain the bacterial cells.if we use 0.22 microns then this May cause false results!
