Difference between assay , content uniformity , blend uniformity and their acceptance criteria.
Assay means the content of API present in sample taken.
Content Uniformity means the API content, which is distributed uniformly through out the output of the batch.
To ensure the above statement, content Uniformity test has to be carried out bycollecting the samples from different areas in test sample or product container. Finally the C.U results should be comparable to each other and RSD to be consider.
Blend uniformity means, if you blend two different products in blender the output should have uniform distribution of the respective API and above statement can be justify by performing assay test parameter.
