Bacillus is the most difficult organism to inactivate with UV light, as it is a spore former. If your method works with Bacillus, it will work with non-spore forming bacteria as well as virus. If you are using Geobacillus, growth temperature is higher than other environmental contaminants. Much easier to perform recovery studies on non-sterile surfaces.
