As per the USP Chapter 31, Volume readings on burets should be estimated to the nearest 0.01 mL for 25- and 50-mL burets, and to the nearest 0.005 mL for 5- and 10-mL burets.
To cater this, two options are present-:
(a) Analyst have to visually estimate, report the readings and take it for calculations as such in 2 decimals or 3 decimals.
(b) Procure a Digital Burette giving readings in 2 or 3 decimals. Show the equivalency with Manual Burette and proceed.
