Use of Alkali aluminosilicates glass for Parenteral Dosage forms

As per some articles Alkali aluminosilicates were proposed as an alternative to alkali borosilicates for parenteral packaging, and an example glass was compared to various alkali borosilicate glasses currently used in the pharmaceutical industry and it also meets the compendial requirements.

Need comments whether this is pharma industry practice.

Is it accepated by regulatory bodies, any pharma company manufacturing parenteral dosage forms are using Alkali aluminosilicates instead of Alkali borosilicate containers (Vials)???
