Qualitative analysis usually yields a yes or no answer, a sterility test is either positive or negative.
Semi-quantitative analysis is usually a limit test, heavy metals are NMT xxxppm
Quantitative analysis yields a number as a result, assay in mg/L or %
Simply; Qualitative = compare, Quantitative = calculate.
