If you want regulatory compliance.
Plz refer to EN 285.
Limit of calibration of temperature sensor depends upon the the level of accuracy of temperature readings required to be monitored. For example, if the temperature limits of a refrigerator at 2 to 8 deg C, in this case the temperature sensor calibration limits would be + - 0.2 deg C.
If room temperature of storage area is to be determined at around 25 deg C, then in this case the temperature sensor calibration limit would be + - 0.5 deg C.
