Supplier or manufacturer’specifications evaluation on their Quality system can be done in different ways depending upon type of products we want to purchase from them. It can be done in following ways,
1 Conducting Quality Audits in their facility
2 Conduct remote audits by sending questionnaire and review the answers and supporting documents.
3 Based on their market position, reputation and preliminary information collected through website, tbeir existing approvals by regulatory authorities etc.
4 Discussions and meetings with the supplier to understand their capabilities.
It all depends upon type of products and risk assessment.
