hello, I work in a microbiology lab. and we are about to start analysis of purified water ;

my question ;
Can we do pour plate method instead of the membrane filtration method.

Yes, of course ,PW Water analysis can be selected through pour plate method.
As per pharmaceutical guidelines minimum sample required 1ml.

Yes you can but USP made it mandatory to test it by membrane filtration. Please check the pharmacopoeia you follow before you test the sample.

USP suggest a membrane filtration method for analysis of purified water with minimum sample requirement of 1ml.
