Sir I have small doubt… In product mlt test why we are preparing separate scb for salmonella.
Salmonella is required to test in 10 gm or 10 ml sample while other pathogens in 1 gm or 1 ml.

Why it is required to test in 10 gms…?
Salmonella is not detectable in 1g(in small quantity)

Salmonella is a pathogenic causes bacteria. they treat as a special identification in sample. According to guidelines, Salmonella required 10 gm or 10 ml sample . so that is why we are preparing separate tube used for salmonella.
