Is it necessary to take an assay sample from compression and coating stages or not?

In my organisation, it is not sampled and depending on finished assay

What are samples of preparation steps and tests required
Usually, during coating process samples are pulled out for color and weight gain.
During tablet compression the samples are taken for friability, and hardness tests.
