PPM in our case jars expire before the product

Hello everyone,
Before starting jars filling I’ve noticed that my jars or bottles expire before the drug we’re packaging in
(Our case capsules)
Is it safe like what ensure that after the jars expiry date my product is going to be safe
Or the bottle may no longer provide an adequate barrier?
What’s the solution or a guideline to refer to ?

Please inform the supplier or manufacturer of jars/bottles about this fact. And request him to provide the extension of shelf life of jars/bottles, based on the stability studies carried out by the manufacturer of jars/bottles. Usually extension to the expiry/use before date is provided by the packaging components manufacturer based on the knowledge of their product and its stability profile.

What is the basis of this expiration?
What is the material of construction of the jars/bottles that you have referred to?

There are often two angles to such situations.

  1. The technical aspect. The risk involved
  2. The statutory aspect - fear of contravening some rule/law.

Please find out the basis of container expiration to get answer to point 1
If you are satisfied, talk to your vendor for a probable re-establishing the expiry date to address point 2.

Hope, this helps. Good luck.
