Many types Instruments / Equipments like Mechanical Sieve shaker, Air Jet, Malvern Master Particle Sizer, Sonic Shifter for Sieve analysis in Pharma companies .Where these instrument applicable for particle size Analysis? Any criteria or logic available for use different particle size analysis for different instruments?

There are several techniques used to determine particle size of pharmaceutical materials. Principle of their working is different. Accuracy and precision of theses methods vary largely. Therefore, depending upon criticality of its application in pharmaceutical processes one has to select appropriate techinique of particle size determination.
My simple question are there, These all instruments (technique) are used depending on size of Particle (Drug substance)
If yes, then pls provide criteria (Lower to higher µ size) for different instrument.
