Hi. I am new in QMS. Can anyone share with me if validation unit / department shall be under the QA Department or can it exist as stand alone unit / department (considering the organization is large) reporting to a common head ?
Validation unit / Department can be a stand alone unit considering large size of the organization. However, this unit should report to QA Head as the validation activities are complementary to QA function. QA performs an important role in co-ordinating validation activities, reviewing and assessing, approving / rejecting validation data, reports.
