On what parameter does the interlocking time in pass boxes depend on?

When we want to pass some material through a pass box, we insert the material into the pass box and lock the doors from both end. Then the AHU is turned on and UV lights are activated. After a certain time (say 1 minute) the pass box can be opened and the material transferred to the other side.

My question is on what basis does the holdover time in pass boxes depend on? How to determine the time length for maintaining interlocking in a pass box?

So far i understood its for dynamic pass box between 2 different classes.
yes it depends upon the efficiency of UV light effectiveness study - a purely microbiological study: It basically involve:

  • Preparation of Culture Suspensions
  • Preparation of microbial dilutions

Efficiency of Bactericidal and Fungicidal Activity by Exposure to UV light: A 4 log kill of following organism within 30minutes:

Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9027
Escherichia coli ATCC 8739
Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538
Salmonella species ATCC- 13076
Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633
Aspergillus niger ATCC 1 6404
Candida albicans ATCC 10231
Environmental Isolate - Production
