How can the life of the production equipment be calculated?

There is no method to fix the life of equipment.if you do preventive maintenance at regular interval as per sop you can increase the life of equipment.proper handling of equipment is also important factor to increase the life of equipment.

Hi,
We are using OEE ( Overall Equipment Effectiveness) which takes into account the various sub components of the manufacturing process – Availability, Performance and Quality. After the various factors are taken into account the result is expressed as a percentage.

While preparing final report you can make inference for Decommissiong or continue equipment usage.
