Why the fall height of tablet should be 6 inch during friability testing??
Friability is defined as the percentage of weight loss of powder from the surface of the tablets due to mechanical action and the test is performed to measure the weight loss during transportation .
Height of speed breaker is approx 4 inch. so 6 inch height selected for friability test.

The dimensions of the apparatus are âaccording to Pharmacopoeiasâ which are already harmonized regarding Friability test
