You may consider HPTLC techniques (HighPerformance Thin Layer Chromatography) for separation of herbal compounds. Please refer Ayurvedic medicines pharmacopoeia or equivalent standard books for better understanding of mobile phase combinations, pre-treatment to herbal samples and techniques of chromatographic separation.
