Expiry date for the raw materials

Sir,
For some materials retest date is giving by vendor shall we fallow that or as per my inhouse sop shall I followed. My inhouse procedure is for retesting one year from the release date of the material.

You test raw material when you receive after that you can specify your own retest date for the raw material but you can’t change its expiry.

If raw material mfg less than 1 year then give retest period 2 year after complete analysis .If raw material mfg more than 2 year then give retest period 1 year after complete analysis .Please mention this sentences in your SOP

Nmt 5 years,not applicable to solvents
