Exermet SR 500 and Glycomet SR500 are same with different brand

Is exermet SR 500 and Glycomet SR500 IS SAME THING OR THESE ARE DIFFERENT.
I WAS TAKING GLYCOMET SR500 BUT KNOW I AM TAKING EXERMET SR 500.

PLEASE TELL ME

Please look at the composition of active ingredient specified on the strip of tablets and determine if the active ingredient is the same in both products. Also, read the leaflet (Patient information) which is generally accompanied by the product pack.
As per my understanding, both the products are same as they contain Metformin HCl IP 500 mg per tablet (Sustained release / Prolonged release tablets), but manufactured by two different companies.
Please consult your doctor/physician before you change the brand of tablets even if both are the same.
