Wt gain is usually used in sugar coating

While in case of film coating the coating solution is usually sprayed until it is all gone (after validating its quantities)

In case of FBD of coarse moisture content determination

In drug coating wt gain is also checked.
In film coating wt gain range is also chek.
physical appearance,color uniformty etc also checked

And of course after finishing coating process there must be IPQC tests (after coat) before primary packing step

Case study: if you find tablet is problem of logo bridging during coating and weight gain is not achieved, what shall be done?

Logo filling and wt gain not achieved may be due to following
High inlet temp.
high bed temp.
low spray rate.
high automizing pressure.
High gun to bed distance.
