Electrostatic charges

Formation of electrostatic charges on the surface of most micronized powders during blending is a known phenomenon. In many scientific publications the formation of agglomerates is described due these electrostatic charges . The addition of an anti-static to the powder mixtures is very common. On all this I have two questions for the forum , as I have hard to believe some statements. Number one : what do you think about the formation of agglomerates due to electrical charges on the surface of the micronized particles ? Second question : coll silciumdioxide is often added as ant-static ? Is there better ? Kind regards Dr. R. KINGET
