Hi
Is there any guideline to say about the color of pen for signing documents or filing the records?
There are no specific guidelines to decide colour of ink for signing and recording the observations in GMP documentation.
Usually, a blue colour ink pen with indelible ink should be used. The blue color text or signature clearly indicates the difference between original document and photocopied document as the photocopied document will have text or signature in black colour.
However, it is up to the organization to decide colour of ink to be used The same should be specified in the in-house SOP. (Generally in Good Documentation Practices SOP).
Thank you so much
You are always welcome.
It depends on the choice of company. But mostly I saw Black color ink is preferred for documentation.
We use blue color pen.
it would be a good practice if production department and quality departments uses different color of pens to easily distinguish between signs in batch records and other documents. like, production uses blue color, qa uses black or green colour for approvals.
