difference between equipment , instrument and apparatus

Dear ARYA
Base on my limited knowledge in the pharmaceutical field, i can classify like below

  • Instrument: normally refer to sensor (measuring instrument ) such as temperature sensor, humidity sensor…
  • Equipment: can be many things, like water bath, oven, incubator, generally connected to power by electricity
  • Apparatus: can be many things as well like Pipet, glass thermometer, burret…generally not connected to electrical power
