Difference Between DT and Dissolution

Please give me technical answer of - What is the Difference between DT and Dissolution?

Dt
break down of tab in to smaller particles which pass through 10 mesh and no hard mass is left behind.
Dissution
in dissolution tabs are dissolved to release all of API.
Dt is a physical test and dissolution is a chemical test.

Disintegration test ensures that tablets mass is broken down in to smaller fragments which can pass through easily through the mesh size at the standardised conditions as specified in the relevant pharmacopoeia. Therefore, it is a physical phenomenon .
On the other hand, Dissolution test ensures that the active moiety (API) is dissolved in the medium at given PH, at the standardised conditions as specified in the relevant pharmacopoeia.
Dissolution ensures active moiety (API) is released and dissolved in the Dissolution media and forms a solution from the tablets mass and only then it can get into the systemic circulation in our body. Thus making it bioavailable. Therefore, Dissolution test is directly related to bioavailability of the drug. Dissolution test is called as In- vitro test, while conducting bioavailability test on human volunteers is called In-vivo test. There is a correlation between In-vivo and In-vitro test. It is called as IV-IV Corelation.
For satisfactory bioavailability of a drug in pharmaceutical dosage forms, the Dissolution test, and the Disintegration test should be satisfactory as these are interested related.
