Please consider following calculations to convert API Salt in to its equivalent base for adding to the batch.

Amount of API Salt to be added into a batch (Kg) =

(Molecular weight of API Salt / Molecular weight of base of that API Salt) X Theoretical amount of API base to be added in the batch (Kg) as per label claim

For example, Quantity of Salbutamol Sulphate equivalent to Salbutamol base to be added in the batch as per label claim is as follows,

Amount of Salbutamol Sulphate to be added in a batch (Kg) =

(Molecular weight of Salbutamol Sulphate / Molecular weight of Salbutamol) X Theoretical amount of Salbutamol base to be added in the batch (Kg)
