Please Can anyone Help me about the the multimedia filter and active carbon filter backwash if there is an SOp for this
Ensure that input water is sufficient level and pump is functioning properly.
Pressure Sand Filter back wash:
Place the Multi Port Valve (MPV) of Pressure Sand Filter in back wash position.
Open the raw water inlet valve and switch on raw water pump.
Drain the water for about 15 minutes through the drain pipe.
Switch off the raw water pump and close the raw water inlet valve.
Place the “MPV” of Pressure sand filter in “Rinse” position.
Open the raw water inlet valve and switch on the raw water pump, and run the pump for about 5 minutes and drain the water.
Switch off raw water pump and close the raw water inlet valve.
Place the “MPV” of Pressure sand filter in ‘filter’ position.
Activated carbon filter (ACF) back wash:
Place the “MPV” of Activated carbon filter in backwash position.
Open the raw water inlet valve and switch on raw water pump.
Drain the water for about 15 minutes through the drain pipe.
Switch off the raw water pump and close the raw water inlet valve.
Place the “MPV” of Activated carbon filter in “Rinse” position.
Open the raw water inlet valve and switch on raw water pump and continue for about 5 minutes and drain the water.
Switch off raw water pump and close the raw water inlet valve.
Place the “MPV” of ACF in ‘Filter’ position.
