In sterility testing we are using SCDM and FTGM for aerobic and anaerobic organisms, as per USP chapter 71 both aerobic and anaerobic organisms grow in FTGM, why again using SCDM for aerobic organisms.
FTM promote the growth of only anaerobic microorganisms.
